question about shooting

    heres a dumb question for you.... if you look at all the pics of people out shooting there guns, what is that little box lookin thing the the guy behind them is holding up??:huh:

    what dos that do??? sorry im new at this and i figure the only way im gunna learn is by asking questions.. thanx in advance

    Press the button, it goes BEEP, that means start shooting. It updates every time it hears a shot. When the last shot is fired, you can look at it to see the exact time the shot was taken to give the shooter their score.

    It's for competition shooting, probably not something you will need to concern yourself with unless you decide to compete.

    Not just for competition actually... a timer lets you see where you are and where you have been. You can use it for everything from recording a standard drill like El-Prez to setting a part time to check your reload, draw stroke, transition to target, etc... speed.

    Everyone should have one. If you have an iPhone you can get a free one.
