Putting an OKC3S bayo on a 590

Put the bayo on and it doesnt quite fit over the bit on the mag tube.

Is there another mag cap thats longer?
Could the locking mount be out of spec?

It locks at the bottom just fine, doesnt look so secure at the end though. Dont want to stick it in something and have it fall off

Hmmm, do you have other bayonets to test? The one you have doesn't fit on everything the same, it's longer in the handle than the previous bayonet that was widely adopted.

On my 18 inch tavor, with bayo lug, the OKC bayo is too long, but, the M9 will fit, the OKC fits on the 16" midlength gas with bayo lug without issue though (it is longer from barrel tip to lug)

There must be an adapter end tube cap that will make it work for the OKC, I'm sure many people have run into that before and the free market has likely already risen to fill that need.

Might try an m7 if you have one, or can borrow for test fit.

My old school mil spec 1st gen 590 fit m7 pretty good. Definitely snug on that magazine end cap.
Did not own an Ontario back then , and regrettably no longer own a 590
