what does it mean by "potentially"?

I though enough signatures "automatically" triggers a vote
From the RG article,

Another complicating factor in the Prozanski recall attempt is an elections complaint filed in mid-August against the recall effort by a nonprofit backed by national gun control groups.

The complaint accused the recall campaign of using paid signature gatherers who aren't registered with the state and of improperly circulating "single signer" sheets, which are intended to be filled out by voters themselves without any help from a campaign signature gatherer.

The complaint sought to have a large number of already collected signatures disqualified because of those alleged transgressions.

A spokesman for Secretary of State Jeanne Atkins said Thursday that the complaint still is being evaluated, but was unable to comment on whether it would have to be resolved before the recall signatures can be verified.

Maybe they will back off on the trickery for a while to avoid more bad press.

Kitzhaber's cover Oregon fiasco and all his corrupt GF troubles. All the recall efforts shining light on how bad SB941 is, so bad the Sherriffs won't enforce it. All the recall efforts. The weird way KB got into office.
The abuse of the Emergency clause.

The out of State anti-gun group complaint throwing a wrench into a legitimate Recall is just more bad press that stinks of our corrupt politicians being controlled by out of State interests.

Did I already mention the abuse of the Emergency Clause??:mad::mad::mad:

Maybe they will leave Floyd dangling on his own in an effort to prove they are not as corrupt as we think/ know they are.
After all they have a must win Governors race coming up. A lot of Progressive laws to be pushed through including a few more gun restrictions. Remember SB941 was only a "Good First Step" they all said!

Well, we have seen them throw their own under the bus - which is what they did with Kitzhaber - all his buddies disowned him. Maybe you're right and Prozanskk will get the same treatment. It wouldn't be much, but it would be a good first step ;)

Ironically enough it was Prozanski who threw Khitz under the bus and demanded he resign.

Would be nice if the whole Regime imploded. Val Hoyle against Kate Brown for Gov. might get nasty and if Floyd gets toppled, the next election could bring some much needed balance to Oregon Politics.

Now, who is running for Governor against the Dems??? :s0054:

Yeah, it seems like the best the idiot Republicans can come up with is previous loser and crazy stalker Monica Wheby. =/

As much as I'm worried about the Governor's race, I'm more interested in getting the current legislative majority moved into a minority position. That will really determine whether or not we'll lose even more rights the next session.

Agreed. At least one chamber needs to move back to grid-lock position in order to put Oregon citizens first again in a lot of areas. Not just 2nd amendment rights.

What's needed to beat the Progressives in Oregon?

A Pro-gun, Religious, social and Union issues neutral, fiscal Conservative Democrat. Must be somewhat sympathetic to enviro wackos as well.

Because unless a third party Socialist Runs for Governor peeling away the Progressive voters, a Republican can't win in Oregon I'm thinking. Maybe it's time to fight from within to balance out the Progressives?

Might be time for pro-gunners to join the Democratic Party?:eek::eek:

It's not who gets the votes it's who counts the votes.

I really hope the SOS doesn't crack and go partisan and throw out those signatures.

The fact that the party who was in control of counting the votes when Oregon went to the mail in ballot thus eliminating citizen supervision of physical voting has since taken complete control of the Oregon Government is simply a coincidence...

Yesterday, the Recall Floyd Prozanski Campaign turned in the last of over 10,000 signatures to the Secretary of State.
The required number to force a vote on removing Prozanski from office is 8415.
Prozanski's record of protecting rapists and felons while enabling illegal aliens, coupled with his outrageous attacks on the rights and privacy of gun owners, was enough to convince many people in his district that he simply has to go.
It is now up to the Secretary of State to "validate" the signatures. Given that our current, unelected, Secretary of State is a hard core leftist who was chosen by an anti-gun, unelected governor and that the billionaire-backed anti-gun groups have poured in vast amounts of money and resources into attacking this campaign, this will be the hardest part.

The recall campaign lost many valuable signatures as a result of the harassment and attacks by Bloomberg backed flunkies who filed specious complaints after attempting to trick volunteers into making minor technical mistakes in the signature gathering process.

Even when all those signatures were removed, the campaign was able to collect many more signatures than needed.

This has been an unprecedented effort. Many, many people worked extremely hard to get this done. To all those people we extend our most sincere gratitude.

Many of you gave generously to this very expensive campaign. We simply could not have provided all the help we did to the recall effort without your generosity. To you we also say, "Thank you, you made it happen." (Not a single other "gun rights organization" contributed a dime or so much as an email. Even the Republican Party refused to support this battle.)

Prozanski is only one of many deceitful haters of liberty in our legislature. If he is successfully removed from office, it will only be a first step. But to have simply gotten this far sends a powerful message about how strongly Oregonians feel about their liberty. No matter what happens now (and the count is up to an official who opposes our rights) you have shown Prozanski and his fellow travelers that they are not stealing our rights without a fight, and that we will never stop protecting our liberty. Never.
