From the RG article, what does it mean by "potentially"?
I though enough signatures "automatically" triggers a vote
Another complicating factor in the Prozanski recall attempt is an elections complaint filed in mid-August against the recall effort by a nonprofit backed by national gun control groups.
The complaint accused the recall campaign of using paid signature gatherers who aren't registered with the state and of improperly circulating "single signer" sheets, which are intended to be filled out by voters themselves without any help from a campaign signature gatherer.
The complaint sought to have a large number of already collected signatures disqualified because of those alleged transgressions.
A spokesman for Secretary of State Jeanne Atkins said Thursday that the complaint still is being evaluated, but was unable to comment on whether it would have to be resolved before the recall signatures can be verified.
