Yea,, I cannot find any thing on these two "ProGun" entities at all. Pretty in depth dig turns up nothing! Sounds like a set up to me!

Any one else get the tingles on this? I bet there will be a bunch of photo taking and profile building on this! You show up slung with" Don't Tread On Me" tee shirt, Your picture gets taken and you go on a "list" for Gov'ness BrownStain to have for her Stasi to come for!

Does anybody know anything about "The Oregon Council on Firearm Rights" or "The Gun Rights Coalition"? I can't find anything about either of them on the Internet. I did find the GRC website, but no info, just a crude interface with little to offer. Are these for real?

The Oregon Council on Firearms Rights has a closed Facebook page, it seemed to be on the up-and-up until they started just randomly kicking people out. Myself included. I've felt no inclination to go back if that's how they were going to operate.

Does anybody know anything about... "The Gun Rights Coalition"?

I can vouch for Gun Right Coalition being legit. They are a social media group that organizes for 2nd amendment rights. Most are in Washington. A few, like Rick Halle, has come down to Salem on his motorcycle to attend rally's and public testimony.

Good to know - just wish they weren't so vague about who they are on their web site.

People that don't get or understand black rifles aren't going to be swayed to our favor by people slinging them at a rally. Open carry, T-shirts & signs will convey the message better.

I'm not normally a rally guy but would actually consider going if I knew people involved and didn't have a previous commitment.

I was one of the original members of OCFR. It was founded, probably 20 years ago now by Tim Dunn, who passed away last year, and several others. The basic theme was "Show Up!" - Tim wouldn't settle for writing letters and making phone calls; you were expected to show up and get right in whatever slimy gungrabbing liberal's face and ruin its day.

There is no website. Tim put up the FarceBook page and most of the organizing goes on there or on the Yahoo mailing list. I'm not sure who's moderating the page; Tim passed the torch to someone before he died. I was for a while but I can't maintain a reliable FarceBook account; I always get kicked off by Schmuckerberg's leftist jackass minions sooner or later and I hate FarceBook like poison anyway.

anyway... it's legit, but I don't know is running it any more, or why they're "kicking people off" the FarceBook page, or whatever... .

I've been with OCFR for over a year now and they are legit. They help organize and inform people of rallies and events taken place in Oregon and Washington. I'm not sure why people are getting kicked out of the group but I would think it was for a valid reason.

Sigh. From that Oregon live article:

"Rep. Bill Post, R-Keizer, said on his blog Friday that though he considers himself a "gun guy" and disagrees with Brown on gun control, "just because we disagree on almost everything in politics, doesn't mean we don't respect nor care for each other. I hope she feels the same about me.""

Newsflash Bill, she doesn't. See that viral video of the Portland woman freaking out after flipping the bird to a guy with a Trump sign in his yard for an example of how people like Brown really feel. I didn't see Brown apologizing for the people in Portland burning an effigy of Trump months ago.

Let's be honest, the demokkkRats will screw us no matter what if they retain their majority. It's what they do, just following kommiefornias lead. Bloomberg is buying gun control state by demokkkRat controlled state,,,

We can't have it both ways. What?

Listen if a registered voter wants to vote pro gun shake their hand and help them get to the polls. Don't worry about what party or group they are with.

When I heard about the events of this rally the first things that came to mind were 1.) This has to be anti-gunners pulling some BS on us or 2.) The most retarded gun owners in Oregon decided to get together and demonstrate their level of jackassery and retardation. WE - law abiding gun owners - are supposed to be more mature, more level headed, better behaved people. We should not be doing the things the thugs and crazies we are in the political struggle with do. We're better than that. It was bad enough when the fatass with the AK and the scrawny dude with the AR decided to mug tacticool-like for the camera in Chipotle down in Texas - and pushed that chain into declaring their restaurants gun free. Same with the Starbucks OC demonstrations. But this BS - burning the governor in effigy - that is beyond uncalled for. WE can disagree with her politics, we can despise her as a person - but we are better than this and burning someone in effigy only shows fence sitters and moderates that we're a bunch of radical neanderthals - and such actions seriously call to question the maturity and mental capacity of those individuals and calls into question if they should be possessing firearms in the first place.

We have not reached the point in our society yet where killing or calling for violence against our politicians is a prudent or moral action - and burning an effigy of someone is certainly an indicator that you wish violence or death upon that person. Such tactics are to be expected from the extreme socialist or communist wing of the Democrat party, or of anarchists. But for people claiming to love liberty, or claiming to be conservative or Libertarian - such classless acts just say that there's no words left, there's no way to argue your point because you have none and just want your way imposed upon someone else through violence - I don't endorse, condone, support, or agree with that but I will get lumped in with these martians just the same because I am a gun owner. Disgusting.
