I have a beautiful pre-'64 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight. chambered in .308 win. This rifle is amazing, like the M70s we all dream about. beautiful wood, the checkering is sharp and defined, the barrel bluing is excellent, one of, if not the cleanest pre-64 ive personally handled or even seen with my own eyes. The serial number indicates a manufacture year of 1953, which is the second year of the featherweight. The sling studs are there, the buttplate is in excellent shape, this gun is about perfect.
