Did I miss the gun in Grant's picture, or are we just assuming he had one because he's in uniform?

Edit: taking a second look, he may well not be in uniform. Still don't see a gun

NOT a president, but I just finished Winston Churchill's multi-volume set on WWII.

One of my favorite passages was during "their finest hour" (also Britain's darkest hour), Winston took it upon himself to obtain a couple Thompsons, head on over the the King's place and instruct the Royal Family on self defense, including target practice in a vacant lot adjacent.

That man KNEW the imminent threat.

Pretty sure the Royal Family were (aside from maybe Princess Margaret due to her age during the start of the war) accomplished shooters and hunters granted Stags and birds.

I really enjoyed those presidents with their guns photos, Roosevelt looked legit. Zerobama looked like he had on his mom jeans.

Something that is apparent is that the democratic party pre-JFK was not the same as today's democratic party. It was a different animal.

It has become overtly Marxist.

JFK was one of the few decent democrats. FDR was a socialist nightmare. Truman was pretty milktoast. JFK I think honestly wanted the best for this country - probably why he took a bullet. Johnson was a racist piece of crap who started the country down the path to where we are today.
