‘Unjustified shooting’ report good cause for reflection by police, gun activists


Thursday’s headlines on the Seattle Times’ and on-line Seattle Post-Intelligencer’s websites pretty much say it all: a preliminary finding by a Seattle Police Department Firearms Review Board – with which Chief John Diaz reportedly concurs – has found that the Aug. 30 fatal shooting of a woodcarver by a Seattle police officer was not justified.
