Some fresh pics, and updated build list on my most Gucci build to date. Absolutely no standard mil-spec parts. at least visible. The vital internal small springs and detents came out of an aero oops kit…some parts just shouldn't be changed. I'm particularly proud of this build, because although it is has a ton of expensive aftermarket parts, there was no sacrificing function for form… in fact quite on the contrary. It is light and balanced, and ergonomically perfect for me, and the way I shoot. Retail this would all add up to well over $4g, but thanks to some serious bargain hunting and clever trading…I don't have near that invested. Cerakote is the only thing left to do, but I haven't decided on the pattern yet. I plan to have my also very "Gucci" G17 Koted to match.

About two years ago I made the decision to do a build but I wanted to go "high end".
As budget rules all manifested ambition it took a long time to slowly build it part by agonizingly expensive part. Cars, guns, lawyers and tattoos; "good ain't cheap and cheap ain't good". Saying "I built this" is as accurate as my 2nd grade claim 'my uncle owns Nintendo' so I'll only take credit for "installing" the charging handle. It was two gentlemen at Oregon Rifle Works slapping this all together who made the magic happen. *pro tip: gift cards to krispy kreme and burgerville greases the wheels pretty good* While planning this "optimized 5.56 CQB weapon"
I kept the four most important things in mind;

-light weight
-robust materials
-cross compatibility with other AR's
-looks cool

Thanks to WillaminaOR for the help getting it dialed in for 50 yards. We had a hoot despite my constant attempts to wander into the poison ivy.

After about 10 years of AR ownership, I put a LAW folder on a lower. I recommend it if the portability is attractive to you at all. Really easy install too if you already did a whole lower.

Got my poverty pony tacticool 22LR rifle all together finally! I pieced this bad boy together over the last 2 years, with some awesome deals from some great members here on the forum! Had some jams at first, then I filed down the feed ramp ledge and polished it up, now she runs smooth even with regular ammo. Very happy with the results.

Awesome 👏 everyone for posting some baddarse tools!

Now that I have seen some builds here with Geissele rails, Im torn btwn getting a new rail that half the weight!

My build is not as kewl as some other's Im seeing on the site but my build is one heavy mofo! Its tipping the scale at over 11 lbs with a 30rnd mag inserted and my can mounted.
