Nice - any specifics on the upper you would like to share? Also what weight buffer did you use.
I'm using an aero precision upper with a BCM bcg. I initially had issues with FTE , turned out the BCM bolt only came with an ejector spring. I used an o-ring with the spring and haven't had any issues after that. Have about 1k rounds through it so far and has cycled great. Using a standard gas block, with a H2 buffer I believe. I think it's 4.6 oz . Also using a sprinco buffer spring (blue?) . Pretty consistent 3-4oclock ejection pattern. Barrel is ballistic advantage 1:7 twist. 7.5" with a Midwest industries blast can and a 9" Aero handguard

A build I did last year. Duracoated in tungsten grey.

What an amazing, long thread.

I have two or three .223's but the favorite is my 7.62mm Armalite AR10:

I like having the one with a handle on it. I don't really need a scope; don't figure on doing any long distance shooting with it under any circumstances that I can foresee. I don't need all the rail mounting points.

I approve. Yes, this meets my approval. it is me-approved. That is all. XD

Quoting my own post. When I was in the army, I was trained on an infantry rifle. With plain, open sights. It was the M14 Rifle, Later, we changed to the M16 Rifle, also with open sights, no scope. Scopes were for snipers, I wasn't a sniper. But I can still shoot reasonably well with an infantry-type rifle at ranges, say, up to 200 yards with ordinary open sights.

My Second favorite pistol build to date.
Second only to Scarlett;)

This one took a turn...
Found out I inadvertently came really close to building a Navy EOD clone when I put this together...
So I'm running with it.
Did some trading for a couple of the pieces I need, but I still need a few pieces like a tan Grip Pod... also thinking I'll FDE the handguard. I'm going for this......

But in the meantime It's "functionaly under construction"
