I've posted this before, a semi auto reproduction of the new USMC M27
official USMC Knights Armament iron BUS
HK buttsock
16" HBAR with mid length piston gas system
EOTech Holo sight
reduced angle pistol grip
Harris bipod with La Rue Quick detach

Best part about this thread is seeing what else you need, but didn’t know. That QD bipod mount is slick.
this is my original AR from the late '80s, a Colt Greenbox Sporter HBAR large hole receiver
Daniel Defence large hole A4 upper
DPMS free float tube
original Milazzo 2 stage trigger from '92
Black Hole Weaponry 18" P3 Polygon barrel
Tubbs flat wire buffer spring
H2 buffer weight
Magpul MOE rifle stock
JP variable gas port
Night Force scope with QD mount

with the JP variable gas port and H2 buffer weight, recoils is similar to a .22LR
of course 12 lbs of rifle helps the recoil

Had some extra parts and a receiver laying around so, bought this PSA upper from my LGS and assembled this today. PSA upper/lower, Tom's Tactical polished milspec trigger with Armaspec anti-walk pins, Aero Precision buffer tube assembly and lower parts kit, and MagPul parts I had in the parts bin. Mid length gas system and a 1:7 nitride barrel. Might keep it, might sell it or use it as trading stock for something I want more.

This is Arak. The 7.62x39 AR.
R&J Firearms Lower
Anderson Lower Kit
Palmetto State Armory Upper
Boyds Pepper Furniture
I don't remember what flash suppressor or gas block I put on instead of the ones that came with the upper.
Since these photos were taken (about three years ago) I have swapped out the red/green dot sight for a TruGlo 1-6x24 OMNIA

I recently sold 4 out of 5 of my older .223/5.56 ARs- so I need a replacement build. I've never done a 14.5" 5.56 AR build before, but I gotta say I'm liking it alot. Despite the hight demand for AR parts, I was lucky to find an Aero M4E1 upper to match the M4E1 lower- no luck finding a R or S-one Aero 12" handguard, but the 12" UTG Pro M-lok handrail looks very decent. This is also the first time using a Ballistic Advantage product- 14.7" 5.56 1:7 4150 CMV pencil barrel- as well as the VG6 Epsilon SL muzzle. Other goodies include a RA-140 single stage trigger, Toolcraft black nitride BCG, QD end plate, Spike's T2 buffer, Magpul furniture and a Radian Raptor charging handle. Optic is a Firefield rapidstrike 1-6x24. I'm really looking forward to seeing what this build can do.
