Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

Did you know that Australia, since 2006, has had a 46.2% increase in violent crime rates since they banned weapons?

Britain had a 48% increase in violent crimes.

Mike - Yes, the very survival of each and every "big bad government" depends on victim disarmament. Under a "good" government we may come to be complacent and forget the root purpose of firearms: to fight war. Thats why we have them, why we keep them, why the 2A was created, and why criminals try to disarm their would be victims. Yeah guns are fun to shoot at targets and make hunting easier, but thats secondary.

Why would you think a market-based gun control scheme is any less of a prerequisite to dictatorship and genocide than a state-based scheme? Furthermore wouldnt a market-based scheme be precisely the most effective form of gun control in modern America? If only the rich have guns who is to say the rich dont become "big and bad"? I mean, wages really put a damper on profits, you know?

Gun control is not about neighbors disapproving of your hobby, its about whether a government could profitably become "big and bad."

Let not forget why japan decided not to invade the US during WW2. Heroshima decided not to invade because he had gone to college in the late 1930s here in the US and knew that almost every household had a gun in it. He knew that if he did invade the US that it would be a bloodbath for the japanese and decided against it.

Heroshima decided not to invade because he had gone to college in the late 1930s here in the US and knew that almost every household had a gun in it.

So Hiroshima is the proper spelling, and it's a location. This is what happened there:
