I've just remembered this old thing I cobbled together many years ago. It's supposed to be a Queen Anne pocket pistol with a turn-off barrel with German silver fittings.

Needless to say, this being UK, it's not possible to make it to shoot, legally, so the touch-hole is not drilled. If I DID want to shoot it, it would have to be proofed at the Birmingham Proof House, and registered to me as a replica BP single-shot pistol of .50cal.

Just like it was a Barratt M109........

You're real pla [that's like a pal, but with a nod to any of our dyslexic readers.] :)

'snot often anybody over here gets to shoot an original flinter with live shot and powder, on account of the laws. I never shot my Peter Gonter long rifle, now it's gone for ever, I rather wish I had.

We shoot replicas by the ton, or cartridge-firing older guns, but REAL flintlocks or even percussion guns, especially rifled, are rarely shot.

I should have said, from the time in UK contemporary with the WoI. We do, of course, shot a great number of firearms from around 1800 onward, on account of the fact that here in yUK we have two national Proof House facilities to check that the guns are actually safe to shoot. Most shooters in the VAA and MLAGB shoot originals.

Your first row is 2 off, second row not so much;). I don't own a 9mm so there is not one in there. Nice call on the 22mag though

Now I am trying to figure out if "not so much" means I got it or am a bazillion miles away. Here is the revised edition. I probably made things worse though.
first row right to left .22short, .22lr, .380, no, .40sw, .45acp, .357 magnum, .50AE (or .480 Ruger)
back row left to right .22 winchester magnum, 7.62x39, 556, .308, .577 Nitro Express, 6.5 Grendel, .35 Whelen, .50 BMG

That's awesome! Did you also fabricate all those fleurs-de-lis? I shudder to think how much that must have cost the client!

I did, They are not that fancy though. I cut them out on my CNC plasma table and dressed them up a bit. It was harder to rivet together the panels for the bottom. Those are 3/16 x 2 flat bar and each joint is an actual rivet... Lots of holes to line up just right...

And $8K is what I got for these, which was not enough.

Is that $8K with cost of materials already deducted or with them tallied in?

I am not a carpenter by any means but, I decided to try my hand at building a nice entryway (I spose the snobby types would call it a foyer) with a floating bench for my wife. IMG_0498.JPG IMG_0499.JPG
I am also working on a solid slab maple burl table and benches. Made from the same 13' center slab of the tree. Here is the first bench to the set.
