Bought this S & W Model 14 on GunBroker last November. Came with Pachmyar grips which were functional but I was looking for something more traditional. Got these magna grips from Altamont. They are beautiful but not great for target shooting. Today in the mail I got the Tyler T-Grip in brushed bronze. Love the retro look. Can't wait to get out and try it again. Oh, and a little green paint on the front sight for tired old eyes!

1. Nice snag. If the model 15 is the Combat Masterpiece, is the model 14 the "Combat Practicepiece"?
2. Will shoot better than any of us.
3. Cataract surgery with new interocular lenses.
4. Planning and recovery from surgery will give you some time to save up for "scarce", "rare", "difficult to find in stock" etc. etc .etc. .22LR ammo.
5. Unless you are a prophet and have a .50 cal ammo box filled with it.

Just picket up my first new revolver and I have to say I'm so excited to have this configuration. I've only had older pieces in the past and I wanted something I wouldn't feel bad about beating up. Lipsey's special GP100 5" barrel in .357 magnum

My first year production M1917 inspired me to get something that looked similar.

Here is a classic - my early Hi-Standard R-103.

This was given to me many years ago stored in a LEATHER holster and I did my best to remove the rust and it's not too bad.

I am currently scouring the 'net for a 4" barrel for it but they are rare!
