A couple weeks ago I stumbled upon this 2" 15-2 in a Nevada LGS. Already have a nice example, but couldn't leave it there for someone else to snag - don't see many 2" 15s in the wild. The finish was 95%, but been looking for a sacrificial revolver for black nitriding. I just got it back from H&M. Turned out great! Still waiting for the brushed bronze Tyler T.

I don't know that I would done it to a 95% condition example though. I would have sold it to me and found a beater to black nitride. It did come out very nice though and should stand up to just about any hard use.:D

Christmas came a little early this year. Bought the 1/2 lug a couple of months ago but finally got out to shoot it. Bought the full lug Friday.

Just stumbled upon this beauty. It's a Smith 25-9, same product code as the 27-5, but it has the endurance package.

It came with factory Hogues, but I swapped with some wood from Altamont.

Oooops, I did it again. Went out looking for a Glock 29 and came home with this gal. A 3.5" 27-2 S prefix. I have the original diamond magnas, but wanted to see what she looked like with these Altamonts.

I posted this a long time ago when i got it, i still haven't fully cleaned it, but i'm getting the chance to *actually* go and shoot it for the first time, so it got another cursory clean. It'll get detail stripped after tomorrow's session.

Oh that's nice, and i do like the grips, which ones specifically are they?

They are OEM grips for S&W Classic Series made by Altamont. Very similar to Altamonts Coke grips.

I have several sets of their Roper grips.

Pietta 1851 Confederate Navy .44 Cal
Ruger Wrangler 22LR
Ruger SP101 .357 Mag

All of these are ridiculously fun to shoot. If you have a chance to shoot black powder (Pietta) or pick up a Wrangler I would highly recommend it.

Wrangler wearing new Altamont grips from link I posted in Great Deal thread last month.

I have to agree, it is really a fun gun. And priced so you don't have to worry about them obsessively. Take them out and play with them.
Those super fine S&Ws up above would find me wiping off fingerprints constantly.

It's not for eating, it's just for looking through......
