The upper pistol is my Colt Series '70 in .45acp.
It was my Dad's gun and the first pistol I ever shot...It's been my EDC for forever.
The Bottom pistol is a Pachmayr .22 conversion on a GI issue frame...lots of fun to shoot.

Well crap, here's several more photos: 70 series GCNM from '80, lightweight Officer's ACP, Officer's Enhanced ACP, Wiley Clapp Commander, Kobra Carry.

SA Champion Lightweight Operator - G10 grips, SA's Custom Shop cut the rear of the slide for a low profile adjustable Bowmar style sight and added a fiber optic front sight plus they did some trigger work on it. Sweet shooter, super accurate and just a heck of a lot of fun.



SA Trophy Match - Except for the G10 grips it's all as it came from the factory.

It's 9mm and I plan on getting another Ruger SR1911 lightweight commander! But enough with the bs typing and on with the picture!

.38 super and 45ACP need that longer frame.
9mm only makes sense to me in a 1911 if the frame is sized down in length for 9mm.

But some don't mind. And I never owned a 1911 that wasn't 45acp.

Meprolight Nite Sights are what I run, not to bright, and a slight bias to the front to make it a little easier to see!
Never had any issues with any of mine!
