Interesting "stolen gun" scenario in practice:

"Brown bought her [Ruger SR22] off Snapchat for $250 in a no-questions-asked transaction."

No weapon charge. Here Brown was the "transferee" and presumably not subject to SB941 (ORS 166.435 Illegal transfer of a firearm), as it only criminalizes the transferor.

Clackamas county did charge with "reckless endangerment" for the abortive drive-by.

They don't prosecute anything, yet, this law and the mag ban, etc. are crucial to reducing "gun violence" and keeping the children safe. GMAFB!

note, she didnt violate sb941 its the sellers legal responsibility.
Im more concerned about the 25 felons in possession getting let go while they pass more laws limiting what lawful people can carry.

They just "won't enforce it"... until they want to enforce it. Like, when they want to "set an example"... that's the nefarious part of all this. They can pick and choose what cases they prosecute. The potential for abuse of power & targeting of specific groups based on political, religious, or other affiliation is absolutely staggering.

"Statement from DA Mike Schmidt:

In February of this year, a Multnomah County Circuit Court judge dismissed the first of what is now nearing 300 cases due to a lack of defense counsel..."

Not cool.

Portland admitting jailing poor people is too expensive while paying for 2 years for lumber to patch up broken windows. Now, if you have something of value say, the ability to pay the system 🙄, a house with equity, a car...all of a sudden roadblocks are cleared to the penalty box.

Welcome to The Purge...

The DA's office reports 80 car theft cases were dismissed between February and November.

Among 'person' crimes – six robbery cases and nine assault cases were dismissed for a lack of counsel.

"There is a whole host of factors that play negatively into our ability, sometimes, to bring a successful prosecution," Schmidt told KGW in a previous interview. "Courts dismissing the cases because there's not a defense attorney is one of the most recent."

There are two other case categories that make up the bulk of remaining dismissed cases: A felon in possession of a firearm and eluding police. About 25 cases of each were dismissed over the last 10 months.

Wait until a white, Libertarian/Republican/Conservative male does it.

Game over then. You'll never see the light of day again.
