He can just comment and hope he catches the right mod's attention to have his posts edited without comment/explanation.
Posts are edited if a forum rule has been broken, pretty simple stuff really...

You can always repost a post if you need an explanation of why a post was edited, that way it's not in a public forum as discussing staff issues or actions in a public forum is against forum rules. You can always take your concerns to @Joe Link if you feel staff action needs to be redressed.

Agreed that it should be simple if consistently applied.

And it's @Joe Link 's discretion how he wishes his moderators to edit/delete/modify content. All boards run different, and most I've seen there's an effort to publicly communicate what was removed, what it violated, and an overall request to the larger group to maintain decorum. That's fine if this board doesn't want to run that way. It's just good to see where the bar of managerial responsibility sits.

Anyone else watching the Katu live chopper feed? Cops set up a line across road but crowd knows it's a joke. Cops toss a tear gas canister at crowd who then pick it up and throw it back. Then cops run away to their van. So now they start throwing bottles etc. then cops leave in van and crowd shoots at them with firework mortars. Why the show of force and then retreat it just makes them more emboldened.

Tonight should be interesting. The City Council asked cops to stop using tear gas today. Wheeler said publicly that protests would make change happen in police department more quickly. Also huge increase of criticism of cops during the riots.

I'm seeing lots of people in black walking toward rally points of previous nights right now. Maybe they did on previous nights also and I just didn't notice. Or maybe because it's nice outside and they just happen to be walking that direction. We'll see how tonight goes.

I'm sure all the anti society, anti police, antifa, paid agitators, etc will listen to this broadcast and quell their anarchy.

(You should be able to smell the level of sarcasm in this post through your phone/comp screen)

They need to just bring the water cannons, and paint the city with the tears of rioters from the amount of tear gas being dumped through the streets.
But it's an election year, so they will just let them loot, burn, break, and tag anything they want
That kind of inaction could come back to bite em in the azz!

Now Portland will get a real taste of what the Anarchists want. Of course, the Portland police are undermanned. And it will get worse. After a request to the Governor for National Guard support, it was denied by Katie. Business has been shut down because of the Pandemic, honest citizens are on the ropes financially, and the Anarchists are getting free rein to destroy lives further. Attrition rates of the Police are going to go up, with no replacements. That has been happening in many metropolitan areas across the country already. Businesses are going to relocate to friendlier (safer) places, taking their commerce and tax base with them. State and local governments are going to be even more financially burdened with less and less money to try to maintain their shaky welfare state, all the while hoping for a handout from the Federal government. Well Done Portland, Well Done. It's said that Democracies get the government they deserve.

Yea it does seem odd. Last year I think it was, the cops were standing by watching as Antifa were directing traffic and damaging cars that didn't obey them. Then later on the mayor praised the cops for not doing anything. How can one call a curfew after that and have anyone take it seriously?
When it starts with the Oregon governor........

When it starts with the Oregon governor........
You know, as someone with a fair amount of mechanical background, the word governor in the mechanical realm is something that keeps the engine running when power is needed and from over-reving and blowing itself apart. Our illustrious Katie Brown has done neither. It's far past time that bad part is removed and replaced with a good one before the engine of Oregon either dies or blows up. In fact, it even seems to me that who ever engineered this governor needs to be called on the carpet. This is the worst governor this Oregon "engine" has ever had!!!!!

Saw this back a ways in this thread by Freedom4:
"I do feel that it will take live bullets to stop these bloodsuckers. They basically got away with murder , treason and tyranny today. Here we are fighting all these damn wars against Al Qaeda, Taliban and other terrorist groups. We spend billions and billions and put our soldiers in harms way. And why do we do all that? So we can prevent what happened yesterday in our country from happening..."

We are not sending troops to the Middle East to fight terrorists. That is a side job. We send them there to protect the flow of oil. That's the MAIN reason. If terrorist-supported governments actually controlled the flow of oil, western economies would collapse almost overnight.
