Police traffic head investigated for road rage

"The head of the Portland Police Bureau’s Traffic Division has been reassigned while he is being investigated for a possible off-duty road rage incident in Idaho.

The incident happened 10 days before police disclosed it.

Wyatt was not arrested at that time of the incident and the investigation was turned over to Idaho State Police.

During the investigation, Wyatt has been temporarily assigned to the Drugs and Vice Division. Lt. Eric Chober has been appointed acting captain of the traffic division."

Sounds like a felony to me. BUT, Another slap on the wrist from the men in blue for the man in blue.

"He is accused of brandishing a pistol during an incident with another driver in the Post Falls, Idaho, area."

Would I go to jail for that? Must definitely. And my gun would be taken away.

Real life is often stranger then fiction.

I am not saying its true but go figure. The head...the top dog...the big cheese...is the one in trouble. :wow:

once again, another reason i dont put much faith or trust in law enforcement, as with most police they have a double standard. they feel rules dont apply to them or there brothers and sisters in blue.

I'm guessing most people would have been arrested in Washington for this.

Portland police have had a lot of problems driving off-duty lately.

Oh no. A cop would never do anything like that. Must be a mistake. ;)

That pig is lucky he is still breathing. I know a number of people that, if one were to flash a firearm in road-rage at them, would take it as an immediate threat to their life and act accordingly to stop the threat.

About two years ago an off-duty Stater was riding his motorcycle something like 80+ MPH over Santiam pass and was arrested for speeding and a list of other things since he was trying to outrun the pursuing LEO and had his daughter on the back.

If he is out brandishing his gun n a road rage incident, he should be fired from his job.

We'd be in jail for that offense. Why is he not reasigned to the inmate block is beyond me and infuruates me as a tax payer. This double standard is bs.

Don't we wish................. Cops get a way with so much it's unreal and yes it is a lot of cops not just a few. If you believe just a few you are nuts as them.

The only people they protect are themselves and this guy will walk or be forced retirement with full benefits at your tax payers expense.

What a joke the guy should be pissing on a steel crapper behind bars awaiting trial.

Screw him and hang him by his balls.

    I was being sarcastic :)

    I doubt he'll be re-elected.

The captain needs to be charged and booked, like the rest of us would be.

As it turns out, he (Adams) has already announced he will not run for a second term.
