I'm not Black, but I like fried chicken. Is that cultural appropriation?
I think appropriating something as delicious and ubiquitous as fried chicken as one's own ethno centric power move is the height of hubris.

I smoked/barbecued a couple racks of ribs yesterday... sorry, fellas, you don't get to keep that one to yourselves either.

I'll make concessions on grape drank... not my fight.

Agreed. Otherwise using a cell phone or a car is appropriating White culture, and that just opens up a big ol' can of worms.

Which reminds me; Isn't self-identifying a form of appropriation? How could it not be?
