I guess that if you are the chief of police in some areas the first amendment does not apply to you.
If I was that person I would sue the people who came after me in federal court for violating my first amendment rights.

Same way the First Amendment doesn't apply on this forum. Its a Private school The First only restricts the government from limiting your speech (At least in theory). The private school can set its own rules as can this non-government sponsored forum.

And assuming it's a big enough school to warrant a police force, they would need a chief for it.

Lots of universities have chartered police forces. Mine had one. Really common.

As for first amendment rights they only exist in relation to government, not private entities.

If you go stand in the street and preach how you want to have a communist revolution or kill all the Jews, no entity from government can stop you other than some time and place restrictions like not in an intersection, not in a theater during a movie.

If you work for a restaurant and wear a second amendment shirt to work they can fire your butt without a second thought.

That's what all the rights in the BOR are about. Limits on government not limits on individuals.

Chief of police is a political position. Its easy to lose on the whim of whoever is in charge. Keep this in mind if confiscation becomes legislation.
