Please Help Navigate Tags/Units

Hey Folks,

I'm getting back into hunting after many years living out of State. I'm back in Oregon but the last time I went hunting there was no online so everything was done at the local sporting goods store. I have already purchased general season bear, deer, and elk tags.

Do Western Oregon general season tags have units? Or is it just hunting on whatever public land/kind farmer I can find? I seem to recall years ago having specific units on my tag but I'm having trouble navigating the website and would appreciate any guidance.

The Western Oregon General Deer tag does allow you to hunt any unit from the ridge of the Cascades westward.

There are slightly different season dates in different areas/units. Look at the map on page 28 of the Big Game regs. Both the blue and white regions are covered by your tag (but differences in season dates).

FYI, the page reference I gave you for the general deer map is the PDF page (page 26 in the paper regs).

Your general elk info map is pages 42-43 (40-41), depending on the tag you have.

Your fall bear tag is good statewide. See info page 64 (62).

I'm assuming you're talking about rifle seasons. Archery maps are there, just different pages.
