I recently purchased this pistol which I know nothing about. I have been trying to locate information on the internet. It is Mauser marked and has German proof mark but it also has a roll marking on the top of the barrel "MANUFACTURE FRANCAISE d ARMES & CYCLES de SAINT-ETIENNE"
All information will be appreciated, if you know where I can find information please let me know.

I looks like a pre war(WWI) commercial variant. The WAFFENFABRIK mark looks correct. The marks on the barrel are odd. Could it be from a re-lined barrel?

You may find some help here.

Thank you.
This is a very interesting site.
I do not believe the barrel has been relined.
I have only found one other example of this barrel marking and they had not seen it before they got their specimen, and did not have any information regarding the marking.
Thanks again, Bruce
