Years ago some gun or self defense writer wrote about jury's viewing black rifles as evil weapons of sociopaths but cowboy guns were always carried by the good guys. That struck me as logical (with absolutely no empirical evidence), especially since I have my Mothers old .25/35 Winchester that looks like John Wayne's pet porcupine chewed on it. The Mossberg certainly negates that possible advantage! I'm also afraid that the handsome weapons in the safe would be uglied up from mere proximity! But, different strokes!

Actually, I went back for a second look and that Marlin is pretty ok. That Mossberg though, shudder!
