Pietta 1873 barrel swap

I got a 1873 pietta 45lc I want to swap to 38-40, parts are available for cylinders and barrels.
My question is can I use Uberti barrels or even Colt 1st or 2nd gen? I've heard Piettas and Ubertis are interchangeable with Colt origionals but are the threads the same?
