In 1894 the French Rene Galland developed a new 22 cartridge, the centerfire 5.5mm Velo-dog, and after that he developed a series of revolvers in this caliber. They were called the Velo-Dog Revolver.
A friend had those back in the late 80's. Cool, but his were a pain in the neck trying to get them to run consistently.
The zip which ended up being zip...................
The newer versions ran good but the older ones needed a lil dremel touch up on the upper side of the throat, which they remedied on the newer ones, then they ran great. Had the rifle and pistol versions, both could run a full mag if your finger didnt get tired. Last I checked they are still in Oregon around the Portland area, maybe Hillsboro I cant remember.A friend had those back in the late 80's. Calico Light Weapons Inc. (CLWS) is an American privately held manufacturing company based in Elgin, Oregon that designs, develops and manufactures semiautomatic firearms. It was established in 1982 in Bakersfield, California, and released its first production weapon in 1985. In 1998 its operations were moved to Sparks, Nevada, where replacement parts for existing weapons were produced. The newer versions ran good but the older ones needed a lil dremel touch up on the upper side of the throat, which they remedied on the newer ones, then they ran great.
