Uncommon Mark Westrom era ArmaLite AR-10B, 7.62 A2 with prototype style trigger charging handle as opposed to AR-15 style T handle. From Reddit

Not gonna lie, I kinda like the vibe of the trigger style charging handle.
Mayhem Machine is working on a DPMS patterned AR 308 A2 upper that will have T handles but not trigger style handle. Brownells used to sell the BRN10 version with the trigger charging handle, it's based on the original AR10 design with A1 rear sight.

Edit, I don't know how optics could be mounted to the trigger style charging upper versus T handle....

Well, they could always try a carry handle with integrated optic like the G36, except make it retro looking. Or give the carry handle a rail on top. Or a stepped section at the rear of the carry handle for mounting a red dot.

Integrated rail on carry handle would be interesting but itd need be quite beefy and still have a see-through channel or tunnel for rear irons?

HK style STANAG holes and slots would make more sense but the scope mounts for that are very very expensive unfortunately

Sure, but that would be easy enough to manage. For a stepped pic rail I would replace the rear sight (see pic). To make that work I'd want the channel of the carry handle to flare out a bit to give the RDS a wider field of view, and the material on either side of the channel to be lower, reducing the downward angle of the forward sweep.

For a rail across the entire top I would have one with a gutter down the center and an aperture at the rear so it can still double as a basic iron sight if needed.

For an integrated optic I would probably use a compact 3x prism. I'd probably keep the steep forward angle of the handle and have it come up on either side of the sight to protect it from being damaged.

A gun hidden within a bible, made for Francesco Morozini, Doge of Venice (1619-1694). The owner of the bible could pull the silk bookmark to shoot while the book was still closed. Now on display at the Museo Correr in Venice.

Don't tell Elon. He'd probably build one that launches EV moon rockets or something.

Spitfire Semi Auto that was the easiest to convert to fully auto.
