Apologies if this is covered somewhere else in the tread. I am looking for info from others that may have installed this on their rifle. I have a 257 Roberts so it is a short action from the early '80s.

What kind of info are you looking for? Weigand makes one for the m77 short action. Clean holes with degreaser apply some blue loctite to screws and torque to manufacturers spec and you will be good to go.
