Am considering a Pic mounted light for an AR build. Going through my closet I have a nice mtb head lamp and thought I might consider using this. Alignment issues with scope/irons when identifying the target may be an issue?
If you need to depend on it then I would look at something from Modlite, Cloud Defensive, Surefire or Streamlight. In the world of lights, you get what you pay for. My current preference is either Modlite or Cloud Defensive.
Thousands of hours, US Patents, and years of development. If you want to make the best light, you have to be willing to put in the time. That’s precisely what we did. The Optimized Weapon Light dominates in every category. With class-leading performance (1250 lumens and 50,000+ Candela)...

Surprised at the price point nice.
Preference on mounting location? T/B/L/R?
Looks like I could mount the Owl on the side as the 45 degree bracket would position the light on top...In the way of the sights maybe...
Got my first Owl two weeks ago and it replaced a Surefire Scout 600DF. Side by side the Owl just flat out, out performs it. I am currently running it on my top rail but I will likely try it out in a few different locations to see where I like it best.
I plan on giving Cloud Defensives Rein light a shot here soon.
I paid $302 from Amazon but I haven't seen it at that price since I purchased. I want to pick up a second one but don't need it so I am willing to wait for it to come back down in price.
