In a Blue Cesspool anybody who intervened with any degree of injury to the rapist no matter how trivial could expect to be prosecuted to the maximum extent of THE LAW by the Soros Democrat DA.
Following that they would be doxxed and publickly excoriated for harming that poor BIPOC, especially since as an illegal alien he is a member of a protected class.

This is the world we live now.

Someone could be trapped in their car with the engine bay on fire, and people will just stand around recording the person burning to death on their phone to capture something to post on social media.

This is not how Americans act. This is how perverted democrats are.

I am no hero, but I would have done something. I am just dumb enough to involve myself and put myself in danger.

Those events have already happened on several occasions and folks wring their hands and still do noting.
Not true. The demwits pass more laws, and or restrictions/taxes, on law abiding people. That's what they do.

Or this..
In a Blue Cesspool anybody who intervened with any degree of injury to the rapist no matter how trivial could expect to be prosecuted to the maximum extent of THE LAW by the Soros Democrat DA.
Or all of it.

I can't see how those charges would fly, when the US Supreme Court rules the police have NO duty to protect you. How is it individual citizens would be subject to a mandate to intervene in a criminal act, when the police themselves don't have that duty?

Just an aside; the crime while horrible and should have resulted in immediate, severe if not lethal consequences for the one doing the deed..
. There is a large body of opinions that believes this statement to be absolutely true and those who believe it are pretty inflexible... the statement being "all men are rapists; regardless of orientation"  this is a direct outgrowth of the whole antiporn, antisex, anti male, anti masculinity segment of the Feminism movement; and might give enlightenment as to why so many bystanders did nothing... they did not want to be accused of other things, they did not want to be seen as defending the rapist, when they could have been defending the victim... they did not want to risk further injury, and likely, they also did not want to risk putting the victim into a more serious case (stabbed, shot, strangled?)

I do seem to recall a prominent politician in Europe about 10+ years or so ago who actually said "it is better to let it happen, to be raped and left alive than to die fighting in self defense" or something. That person got predictably a large backlash from Americans and such but... that person was of the leftist mindset I believe. Google and other browsers cannot seem to find it :(

And it's always the same in the interviews after the Police shoot the criminal thug. He was a good boy. He was going to get a job, he was going back to school to get his GED, he was going to start going to church, and he was going to start taking care of his 8 children and his 5 baby mommas. It's the classic set up for the ghetto lottery. Only in this case he wasn't shot he was allowed to sexually abuse a woman for 40 minutes and the savages in the train ignored or videotaped it. No one tried to stop him. It's really pathetic. But that's Philly now, and we all know it's a blue city and those cities seem to be having a violent crime issue.

They didn't even need to use lethal force to stop the assault in this scenario. All they needed to do was care about someone in dire need of assistance.

Yes, it's a fine line between caring about your own safety... but I am willing to cross it. People who know me know that too. They'd know I died being who I am, trying to help others. (Don't get me wrong, I do have some semblance of situational awareness.)

I have so much to live for, and so much to do on this Earth... but is it worth the cost in the long run if I remain selfish to my own needs? I don't think so. Plenty of people to judge me for that and call me careless, stupid, or an idiot; however, there even more who are selfish themselves, as you can tell by current events.

So the original reporting was incorrect.
1 - the police were notified and those videoing were documenting evidence.
2 - don't let a crisis go to waste.

"Of possibly two passengers who filmed the assault, one tipped SEPTA police and was filming to provide evidence that could help convict the accused rapist in court."

"In the SEPTA rape case, for example, the false narrative that any bystanders faced potential criminal liability only discourages citizens from coming forward in such cases, making it harder to prosecute the actual wrongdoers. Lying by law enforcement is a serious crime against a civil society. There should be harsh consequences."

Que the excuses.....

Not my beeswax.
It looked like it might be consensual.
I thought it was a movie?
I was taking pictures so that the police could later ID the perp.
And IF I got hurt trying to stop the perp......who would take care of my kids?
Etc....

Aloha, Mark

IMHO....everyone is free to choose to get involved or not.

Especially since.....
Other news articles about the incident also said.....
Police said Knighten resisted arrest and he and an officer were injured as police tried to take him into custody.
Yup....a lot of dangerous people are out there.

Aloha, Mark

PS....but since it was an Officer that got injured while making the arrest.....I guess it doesn't need to be mentioned.
