This place seems to make a good product.Does anyone have any experience with pepper ball guns. From a non lethal stand point looks like a viable option.
Looked on net for reviews but it's spotty at best.
It could be in a low intensity, non-lethal situation however I believe drawing something that very much looks like a gun is going to come with its own set of problems, and it has been discussed before. From a non lethal stand point looks like a viable option.
To me? Yes. I look at stuff like this the same way I look at a safe to keep guns in. Every time it comes up you get a lot of "if its not a bank type vault its worthless".As our pacific NW and many parts of this great country turn bluer and bluer and progressive prosecuting attornies keep getting elected, stakes for anyone exercising their CHL right have never been higher. I think we should be open to every non lethal means of defending ourselves and our families when out in public. In fact any good attorney will tell you that is imperative that anyone carrying should also have a non lethal method of self defense. Equal force and all. There are those my wife included that are not interested in carrying a fire arm. The mace on key chain she carries is less than optimum way of defense. Food for thought!
There are many options on the market, and all are great when non lethal force is needed, and also for individuals who refuse to/cannot carry something lethal. There are differences in regard to irritant potency, velocity, cartridge shape, and how it is deployed/ejected from the launchers which are also different. Some can even be lethal, and just like regular weapons, training and comprehensive understanding of the launcher is always beneficial to the user.
I believe they have their place in the self defense space, and I own a few. They can stop someone, they don't require a license/permit, they can be carried where regular weapons are not allowed, and they can help protect you without the legal implications/perils, psychological distress, and cost associated with the use of lethal force.
I recommend to do your own research (YouTube is great for that) and get something that suits your needs and budget.
Here are a few links showing what some of the launchers are capable of:

As an EDC, I like the JPX better since is more compact, can be used indoors with better irritant placement without contaminating everybody around , and I can aim at the head/face without the risk of penetration.
However, I own other different brands like PepperBall (I like TCP), BYRNA, FN303, Tippmann, for different self defense scenarios.
I highly recommend a less lethal option next to/additionally a lethal option, to anyone concerned about their safety.
What specific scenarios are you thinking it might be useful for? Would you actually be carrying it on your person for those scenarios?Does anyone have any experience with pepper ball guns. From a non lethal stand point looks like a viable option.
