    Hey guys -

    I was in Portland from 95 - 07, then transferred up here to the great state of AK. It looks like I may be headed back down sometime in the next few months, and I found this forum online.

    Looking forward to getting back outside (although I think I may be ruined for life when it comes to fishing)....

    Yea the fishing is just awesome up there. I'm going up for fishing trip this coming summer.

    Where in Alaska are you? I have been to every corner. For 8 months of the year there is not a better place on earth, then for 4 months it's the worst place to be.

    My wife and I both work in Anchorage, but live about 15 miles north of town in Eagle River.

    We've had snow on the ground for a few weeks, and its in the teens at night already. 40 degrees and raining really doesn't seem that bad right now.

    My wife and I spent 3+ years stationed at Elmendorf, but lived off base. Sure do miss it (Sometimes) .... ;) Welcome to the site from a Okie Transplant ....
