My question is, what is all this doing in the budget in the first place?

Maybe this is why the Democrats are attacking Paul Ryan.
Please Send to everyone you know..

Remember Obammy got our budget rammed up very year since elected. These cuts will not even go into effect for 2 to 5 yrs yet spending this year 2014 will be more than last year. I am not saying this is not a good start considering the congress at this time. But it will have Zero effect on our economy if that is want people are thinking. Check out this link and you will see what is going on with our economy its all tricks and slight if hand. The question will your cash get all the big interest from inflation or will your cash be worth pennies on the dollar with a new currency. Since we will never know which way and when it will go. I am paying off our house with the cash as its my payback to the banks to pay them is worthless dollars while I still can.

Yeah, there is more to this bill than just the cuts.... while I am happy they found a place to start, there are way too many questions about what he had to give up to get this deal... not convinced any of this will get past the Pres.

I'm not an expert, but I think the Republicans Senators are just trying to avoid another shutdown and not rock the boat....they know people are mad and want to take back the house.

Drop in a bucket while 100 million are not working, the border is overrun and obongos socialized medicine destroys what's left of the economy. Dog and pony show

All these would be a really good start. But unfortunately these cuts will never happen. Ronald Reagan said it best: "The nearest thing to eternal life on earth is a government program."

You mean Paul Ryano?

This budget is a joke and there are no real cuts in it.
1) No session of congress is limited by deals make by previous sessions.

The democrats are evil - almost everything they do hurts this nation.
The republicans are stupid and weak - they get shafted by the democrats time and time again and yet keep coming back to negotiate because this time it will be different. This time they will not lie to us. That is stupid. The other times they know what the democrats are doing is horribly wrong but they cave in - that is week.

.Might as well write in Empty Chair on the next ballot. It sure would be an improvement over 95% of these nim rods

I feel the same way but writing Empty Chair or sitting this one out will only feel good till after the election and you find out the Dems have both houses. Even weak opposition is better than no opposition.

What exactly is the Woodrow Wilson Center? How exactly is it this place gets so much money? If its so damn important his friggin decendants should pay for it, not me.

So here's my answer. Pay off our home loans, sock money and food and ammo away. And then on a set day, millions of us quit paying taxes. No money's, no money for these programs. Remember these programs are shell games for lining politicians pockets.

It does not matter in the long run.
Compromise with democrats works like this:

Day 1) You have $100.
A democrat comes by and wants you to give him $50.
You compromise and give him $20.

Day 2) You have $80.
A democrat comes by and wants $40.
You compromise again, and she takes $20.

Day 3) You have $60.
A democrat comes by and wants $30 (they are sympathetic, $50 would be too much)
You compromise again, and she takes $20.

..............
......................
A few more compromises and you have enough money left over to buy a cup of coffee.
