I've come to realize there's a lack of masculinity in the younger generations of males, not saying all, but many... They'd be hard pressed to physically defend themselves, let alone others. Seems the social public school system has neutered a large cross section of the male population :(

Lord help us...
Soy boys... too many female hormones in the food we eat, methinks:rolleyes:...

They just want to glorify the fact that an unarmed person stopped the possible shooter.

A narrative they want to spread. You don't need guns to defend against mass shooters.

But the reality is, if that kid was going in planning to kill others that guy would have probably just been the first killed.

If this is happening, it's the parents fault not schools IMO. Sure some schools teach this fluffy garbage but parents have more influence at least until high school. But if you've done your job then they'll have a foundation to resist it. My two cents.
But about 25% of kids are growing up in homes without fathers.

According to "What Can the Federal Government Do To Decrease Crime and Revitalize Communities?" from the U.S. Department of Justice, children from fatherless homes account for:

  • Suicide: 63 percent of youth suicides
  • Runaways: 90 percent of all homeless and runaway youths
  • Behavioral Disorders: 85 percent of all children that exhibit behavioral disorders
  • High School Dropouts: 71 percent of all high school dropouts
  • Juvenile Detention Rates: 70 percent of juveniles in state-operated institutions
  • Substance Abuse: 75 percent of adolescent patients in substance abuse centers
  • Aggression: 75 percent of rapists motivated by displaced anger

But the reality is, if that kid was going in planning to kill others that guy would have probably just been the first killed.

According to the story I read, the coach had some kind of duties that made him respond to a call of a kid in a classroom that wanted to commit suicide. Apparently he didn't have any more info than that. So yeah, if it was a case of a murder/suicide intent, he probably would have been in the dirt. Glad it all worked out....
