I agree that there are some individual Frenchmen worthy of honor.
But then came Vichy France in WWII.
They earned a well deserved reputation which has affected their politics to this day.

They became a joke then and are still a sad joke now. BUT, more seriously, our own Government masters want to emulate them . . .

I remind you that the FRENCH are the ones who made it a crime to wear a hijab or veil in public buildings. They've actually done a lot. But they are also well aware that they have a very large Muslim population and they are trying to accommodate that population and integrate it. and a lot of that population comes from Algeria, which was a part of France until 1962.

So,,, it looks like the French riot squad (CRS) and the anti terrorist unit (GIGN) do indeed use the Ruger variant called the Mousqueton AMD .556, interesting.

As for the guns: They are the FAMAS the space-gun looking thing, tht's the standard issue 5.56 french military rifle. Another is the MP5, the other is the M12 SMG.

You REALLY don't want to piss off the French. They have consistently kicked the bubblegum out of every opponent since their desppicable leadership led them into a position they SCREAMED was undefendable, named Dien Bien Fu. And STILL they fought.

Americans like to make fun of the french, and that's fine. But not now. it ain't funny.

Well the got a million Frenchies to march against terrorism today and they marched just like our socialist here. Funny how they march around for freedom and free speech yet they gave that up with immigration policies that split their nation, just like the socialist are doing here.
