East German rain pattern. Used by some other Warsaw Pact countries as well. Somewhere I have a Bulgarian boonie hat in rain pattern. These shirts have a hidden pistol pocket right over the heart. The DDR didn't have easy access to cotton for textiles, so these have some kind of synthetic content. They were short on oil, too, for making plastics. But they had a lot of coal and converted that to oil, then to plastics. These shirts wear like iron.

Woodland gear fabrics with 30+year old BDU woodland fabric from my dad. 420D Nylon pack cloth Taiwan sourced woodland, same as used on my camping backpack in this thread , on far Left.
In middle, 500D Cordura US sourced Woodland from Rockywoods, pretty much identical to the MOLLE woodland gear. On far right is 30+ year old BDU woodland fabric. Its a cotton twill I think, ain't a ripstop.

Look in this other thread for Khaki/Ranger green fabrics that could work nicely in the woods

I have yet to get more Olive Drab greens and other greens to compare with the green gear I have

Well actually, I have some 500D Camo 483 fabric; that I used for a green Hi Point holster... here it is next to a scrap of 1000D tactical tailor green from a previous project, with various color buckles superimposed on it 20200506_135509.jpg
With Tactical Tailor belt; note webbing is dead ringer for the blue tinted fabric, while the belt pad is identical to the scrap. Also shown is Blackhawk Industries H harness in 1990s olive drab

Same as above with London Bridge Trading Co H Harness from the 90s

ALICE gear and BHI H harness and London Bridge Trading co H harness, on 420D "Ranger green" and Camo 483 fabrics. One of the ALICE M16 pouches is a very close fit to the "Ranger Green" fabric.

Camo 483 and 420 "Ranger Green", with gear for comparison 20200131_175708.jpg
Camo 483 under 2000s contract ALICE LC2 straps, which is a much closer match  honestly, a mix of greens can be good for camoing without camo fabrics ;)
