Welcome to Oregon. There are lots of good threads here on that topic. You'll have to dig a little to find the current ones. For shooting on public lands, take a look at https://www.trashnoland.org/. Also search Practiscore for local matches depending on your interest (Pistol, rifle, steel, etc) - the matches are often outside and open to the public (non-members of the clubs hosting). Outdoor range around Yamhill County (97132) or up to 25 miles radius. So far these are close to me but others requires membership that are non vacant.
