Honestly, no idea on what your time is worth, however was not worth our time driving all over to find a legal spot to shoot, which also included all of the safe features needed to do so.
Either know someone with land, or join a club/range is my recommendation.

Yes of course I pick up after myself,and I was thinking about going to the local range but I could buy more bullets instead of paying to go to the range.

ARPC has work bond, which allows your volunteer time to count towards dues.
Obviously depends upon your availability, and on how far of a drive it is for you.
Very very good range though, so something to consider.
As mentioned we drive east a few times. BLM land. But extreme care must be taken to not shoot in the land BLM has leased to forestry. Posted or not. Took a long time to find a decent spot, and it was only suitable for pistol.
