Thank you Andy. When I first finished the gun I drilled out an elk antler tip so that it held the "perfect" amount of black powder for shooting. Tied it to my shooting bag. Been way too many years to recall the grainage now. LOL. It shot true and reasonably soft. It was a joy and using this rifle did provide a counter part to all of the Kentucky/Pennsylvania rifles around. As one of the living historians I worked in the Lewis and Clark rifle into my persona. Formerly was a member of a group called the LaBonte Free Trappers. Their "final exam" was to go into the high country during hunting season, set up an authentic campsite and live alone off the land for 2 weeks using all the old ways. Fun times back then. Best Wishes.
