This was in this mornings paper, DON'T YOU BELIEVE THIS FOR ONE SECOND!!!. They have not, will not give up on ANY gun related bills. It goes on to say the Oregon legislature are abandoning bills to outlaw the sale of semi automatic rifles and high cap magazines. DO NOT believe this either. So, now Demo Sen floyd prozanski will focus on forbidding concealed handgun licenses to take weapons to public, elementary, and secondary schools. prevent them from taking their weapons into the state capital, expand required background checks to include sales between private individuals, except for ''immediate family'' members and require '' live fire '' training for concealed handgun licenses. But the schools measure would allow individual districts to opt out and continue license holders to bring weapons.

This is NOTHING but a PLOY, to make people think, they have won on gun control here in oregun. This is a long ways from being over, and we must continue to be vigilant, and continue to write our state and federal reps.

So will this get rid of the armed security in Oregon schools???

We all know this will just make them a better target for more school shootings. Wonder if "he'' will accept the responsibility of what could happen in the future?? THAT just might be the #1 question to ask him.

Here's the one it sounds like they're going to rally behind instead. It's the same old AWB but amped up with a single feature test, (1)(a)(B) sounds like it takes bullet buttons off the table, and probably more too... <broken link removed>

The move to restrict CHL by school districts opens the door to local law superseding state law. Once a school district or city is allowed to change state law to their liking, we're in more trouble that just gun related issues.

Oh, and HB 3200 just keeps getting better. Buried at the bottom you'll find this...
Section 5 said:
(4) The department may conduct inspections of registered owners of assault weapons and large capacity magazines to ensure compliance with the storage requirements of section 4 of this 2013 Act. + }

That's awfully similar to WA Sen. Kline's "accidental" provision for warrantless searches of gun owners' homes.
