Kate Brown has made it abundantly clear that if she gets elected, high capacity magazines will be outlawed in Oregon...

She will also eliminate the non-existent "Charlestown loophole". And the alleged "violent domestic partner loophole"

This is Bloombergs money hard at work. Let's give him what he deserves, a full blown defeat...

Let's elect a republican governor and republican Secretary of State.... Let's correct more than two decades of liberal abuse of the good people of Oregon!

Best advice we can push..shove..force upon anyone willing to listen/Help

How will the SoS stop a magazine ban?

He won't. But he is the best possible hope for a conservative / Republican to hold any state office in Oregon in the last 20 years. He is a man of integrity and honesty, a rare combination in politics today. I have been helping his campaign in my area.

Multhomah, Washington, Lane, and Benton counties, the PERS retirees, the public employee unions of all levels and their families all control the ballot box in sufficient numbers and percentage of voter turnout to effectively continue blocking any kind of conservative or libertarian influence in Oregon state government any time soon, as the liberals have controlled all state wide offices since 1987. Not going to change any time soon.

Wishing Oregonians the best of luck in the upcoming elections- the deck is stacked against you with Portlandia and Eugene being predominantly Democrat (Socialist). Our current form of Government really needs a serious overhaul- it allows a party majority vote (usually from large cities) to place their candidate into office and control political policy making.

If Oregon gets high-capacity mags banned for civilians, Arizona will become another source for them. I can't even imagine the repercussions that gun control law will have on Oregonian gun culture- a socialist, anti-gun government controlling a gun-owning population that has had such freedom with firearms up to this point. Truly a sad state of affairs.

If you all is worried about high caps being banned, I suggest getting enough right now to meet your needs. I started stocking up a few months ago, I am not waiting to see what happens in the sham election about to happen.

I have enough to keep the wife and I supplied. Not like a couple of late 50's going to be very offensive oriented anyway. My focus in life is heading a different direction these days anyway.

I view the specific state laws that restrict magazine capacity as an infringement of my Constitutional rights under the 2nd Amendment to bear arms, and I act accordingly. But that doesn't mean I'm looking for trouble either- you will only see me shooting with legal 10-round mags locked in the weapon.

In Kommiefornia, sporting what is clearly more than a 10-round magazine at a range or public shooting area with law enforcement present is a quick way to get a huge fine and a trip in front of a Municipal Court Judge for more punishment. New 2017 laws are seeking to not only take those "illegal" mags from those "offenders", but their weapons as well- here comes Jerry Brown, Gavin Newsome, and Kamala Harris' gun grab. Propsition 63 seeks to not only require a background check for ammunition purchases, but a state registry for purchasers- a $50 fee to get a license will be required to buy ammo. Courts will be able to order persons disqualified to own firearms to surrender them to law enforcement or sell them to a dealer, and pre-2000 ban high capacity mag owners to surrender their mags to law enforcement. S

Sound scary? Well Kate Brown has been talking to Jerry Brown and she plans to have the same firearm restrictions in Oregon. Kommiefornia gun owners have until 2018 to register any rifles with "deadly features" as "ASSAULT RIFLES", and of course those are already banned in CA. The ammunition licensing, registry, and other bureaucratic regulations will take effect on January 1, 2018- we are already stocking up, and I'm getting a reloader in early 2017. Looks like these state governments are pushing west coast gun owners into a position where we will have no choice but to revolt and remove these tyrants from office.

I totally agree with the appearance of compliance when out shooting in public, by utilizing the state mandates magazines...

I refer to this as "appearantly compliant and self preservation" it's akin to driving past the police radar at a reasonable speed... No need to provoke...

I'm not the type to flaunt it in someone's face, I know what I have... And eventually, these left coast politicians are going to invoke a revolt from the people.

Never, ever let the liberal politician to get their nose under the tent, cause then you end up with another Kalifornia...

Honestly, I have tried to justify buying before this election but I really dont need anything cept maybe a few G20 mags and maybe a few p228 mags.
Although I would kinda like to get some steel AR mags, all mine are gen 2 Pmags.

44mag.com has a few steel 40rd ASC mags left. Didn't see any 20's or 30's, though I didn't look too hard to see if they have any other steel options.

I did note that the NHMTG's are being discontinued, so might pick some of them up. Pricey, but very good.

How will the SoS stop a magazine ban?

1. SoS becomes Governor in the event that the Governor leaves office, right... (We saw it happen just short of 2 years ago).

2. Kate Brown is, from what I have been told by a political lobbyist, on Hillary's short list of potential cabinet members and/or advisors.

3. The Oregon SoS we elect in 2016 then becomes the Governor.

That is exactly why there were SO Many people in the primary for Oregon Sec. of State. They know that if Kate Brown leaves for Washington DC, they will be Governor.

THEREFORE: Oregon's 2016 Secretary of State election has a very BIG impact. Oregon Could end up with a Republican Governor for the first time in 30 years!!!!

OREGONIANS VOTE for this years Secretary of State!!!! It could not be any more important!

I will be voting Dennis Richardson.
