For all my emailing over the weekend, I got a very positive response from Rep. Richardson from the 4th District, He encouraged me to actually call the co-sponsors and he listed them along with their phone numbers in his response. I think that is a good idea. An actual phone call will put a drain on there office resources. I really like being a burr under somebodies saddle from time to time. I can call during my lunch hour while eating my sandwich, hopefully I won't smack to much.

This is a typical liberal political game. Float a balloon and see if it floats. If it doesn't that's fine. Lighten the load and float it again. Soon you will have it light enough that most will be ok with it. Nothing in it really effects me that much. Wait a year or two, reload the balloon with a few more little tid bits. Again nothing there that really effects me that much. Before you know what hit you it's all gone.

But when I sit down to vote, there are pages of names and faces I still don't know much about other than which party they cop to.

Any chance there'll be a list somewhere the next time we vote, so I can see which of these traiterous bast*rds thought this bill was a good idea? I don't care what their sales pitch is about funding anything, roads, bridges, casinos or spotted owls. If they supported this thing... if they tried to take my rights... their opponent gets my vote!

For OR, OFF puts out candidate ratings under the elections section on the site. Burdick had an F- and Greenlick an F. I'm guessing both will have F-.

Nationally, the NRA and GOA publish ratings.

That's right. Let them know where your votes and political contributions are going, then do it. Taunt them with e-mails asking them what they are going to do with all that time off after the next election. Tell them "Good luck finding the next job" because unemployment doesn't pay much these days. And as many others have said, keep and eye on them. A lot can happen in the next 2 years.
