Find a copy of John R. Lott Jr.'s book More Guns Less Crime, 3rd edition, and check his notes/bibliography. I know there are tables with some Oregon info in there, not too current date wise though if I recall correctly. Check, page 79 3rd edition has Oregon stats from 92-97 for total permits issued. You're in Corvallis, make use of the OSU library.

WA is over 360,000 last heard, I would think OR would be similar. OR has one advantage over WA in that you can unlicensed carry loaded in a car, and one disadvantage, the local government can regulate unlicensed carry.
