Oregon CHL holder wanting to know the easy way of obtaining a WA permit as well.

    Anybody know an easy fast track to take? I did take the Utah course but never got around to jumping through the hoops to complete the application and submitting it. I'm hoping it's simpler to just get the Washington permit. I am often in WA & OR and rarely do I travel anywhere else.

    I may be wrong, but as far as I know all you have to do is go to a Washington Sheriff's office, fill out the paperwork, get fingerprinted, and wait.

    anyone know the reverse? Washington resident getting an Oregon CPL/CWP?

    Thanks everyone for the info. Seems quick and easy to me and thats what I was looking for because I'm a pretty busy person. I recently traveled to WA and it pained me to render my weapon useless (ammo seperate yadda yadda) and not carry while I was there.

    I did but it has expired. If you don't have time to jump through the hoops within 90 days the class doesn't count. I did not have the spare time to jump through the hoops at the time and would rather not anyways because I pretty much only travel to Washington.

    And also Washington has no hoops to jump through. Just fill out the paper work. Much more sane than places like FL, UT, etc.

    No biggee. Take the class in Oregon. Head on over to the Columbia County Sherriff's office in St. Helen's and apply. Call ahead for their open hours. Nice folks.
