Both Lowell's collection and room it was housed in were fascinating. I've never seen anything else like it, even in museums.

Indeed! He gave a small group of us a tour one evening, and I think we all went away a bit overwhelmed! I've seen similar sized rooms, but never as many collectibles as his had! And he knew each piece's history, and features intimately.
What really surprised me was when I asked him how long it took to collect them all, and he told me how new he was to Colt collecting at that time!
