Oregon Arms Collectors November Gun Show

Buy, Trade and Sell
Admission $3.00, Free Parking

Show hours 7:00 am - 12:00 Noon

6255 NE Cornfoot Road, Portland, Oregon
Show theme is the "Wonderful World of .22s"

One of my favorite themes for OAC! I'll be doing a display of .22 single shot rifles this month.

This will be my first gun show I've ever attended, and I'm glad I found it through NWFA. Looking forward to it!
I think you'll find it fun! If this is your first gun show, it will be even better! It's a much different show than the typical commercial gun show, so none of the non gun crap or much in the way of new guns at all.
Stop by and say hello if you make it. I'll have a table or two of Ballard and Remington .22 single shot rifles on display.

Would you consider yourself a historic .22 "Specialist"? I'm not much of a .22 guy, but couldn't resist an old Mossberg and Savage store brand(I'd have to get it out to say which store). Have the obligatory 10/22, Dad's 2nd model Colt Woodsman and a Petrone Mauser .22 rifle. Thought about bringing the Petrone with me, just to see what people know of them..

Them old vintage Mossberg's can't be beat.

I haven't ben to an OAC show for a few years. Might be a good time to make a return. Small shows, but good people and normally the prices are realistic.

Not sure I'd call myself a "specialist", but I do collect only pre 1900 single shot rifles, and happen to own a good number of them in various .22 rimfire chamberings. You'll find there will be a fair number of guys who are well versed in your Mauser, and can help with info.
I'll have mostly .22 single shots on my tables, but also have a .22 H&R target pistol that was purchased new in the 1920's from the Browning Bros. shop in Ogden, Ut. and is in it's Browning Bros. marked holster.

Odds are I've had a chat with you over the years I've been going to the show. I had a nice long chat with a gentleman last show that had, three I think it was, very old target rifles on the table. One that was rebuilt to original configuration and one other that was all original. That may have been you.

Yes, that was me. Had my Rem. Creedmoor Long range rifle, Ballard #7 Long Range rifle, and the 3rd was my Remington Long range I built up using parts from the 1997 run Rem. did.

Yep, very enjoyable learning about those fire arms.

Last time I was at an OAC show I was pondering buying a nice old rifle for $5000. Good thing the wife wasn't there!
My wife used to go to all the gun shows with me back in the 80's and early 90's. We had an old friend who always had a couple tables at every gun show we attended. When we got to his tables my wife would stop and sit behind the table and visit. I'd do the show and come back to pick her up at the end. Once he passed away she stopped going with me. I think that's when my gun collecting hobby really began to explode? Maybe a connection there?

Lowell Pauli was a high school friend of Dad's. I would spend more time visiting with him than checking out the rest of the place. After he quit going I drifted away. I'm thinking Sunday is a good time for a revisit.

Maybe we can meet up? Always in for meeting another member. Look for me. I'm average height/weight, ball cap (probably SeaHawks), gray shortish length beard. :s0112:

Q-Ball huh? ;) It's very seldom my dome gets seen in public without a covering. I'm not bald, I just have a really high forehead.

With everything we've missed in the last 20 months, these little OAC shows are a very enjoyable release. The big show at The holiday Inn was spectacular this year. Even with having to wear the face diaper. I almost didn't go because I'm so sick of mask wearing everywhere. But I changed my mind and went on Sunday instead of Saturday. Around 11:00am. It was so peaceful and quiet. Vendors were plenty happy to just chat. The guys at these shows are just great.

I'll look for the hunter orange hat Sunday. :s0155:

I assume you might have made it to Lowell's house to see one of the finest collections of colt handguns anywhere in the USA then? It was very sad as Lowell got older and his health began to fail. I really miss seeing him at OAC shows. He was one of the really fun guys to visit with.
Really that's a lot of what OAC is about. Not just the guns, but the people and social part of our shows. Getting to know people, and having good conversation with like minded folks!
Hope you do make it back, and become a steady member too!
