Options for a home defense pistol...

The best HD pistol is a revolver, a Glock or DAO only gun like some Kahrs (Maybe all). No extra controls to get in the way. My preference is to mount a TLR-3 on it. You don't have to point the gun to identify a target. Just flash it and use the corona. I like turning on lights better. But my home defense plan assumes no power. I have a hand held flashlight by my gun. But if a family member is screaming in another room, I am not counting on grabbing more than the gun.

What is it about shooters that attract these helpless women who need us to choose their weapon for them?

I suspect it's not them, it's us-- we think they need our help. If I had a wife who couldn't choose her own weapon I'd get a new wife.
