Optics for a Sig 522

Hello all,

Finally found a Sig 522 for a decent price at Wholesale Sports and rather than installing the iron sights, I would like to jump strait to a red dot or scope. I also have a Sig 556 with the diopter sights and would like to use the 522 as a proof of concept to figure out what will work on the 556.

I would like to work CQB out to 100 yards. Are there significant differences in a scope for a .223 and a rim fire?

I have been thinking about an ADCO Alpha Red Dot ~$108.

I run a Vortex SPARC and LT660(HK) Mount that gives me an absolute co-witness with my irons ~ $330 w/ shipping

Cant beat the SPARC for the $$$. The best Red dot would have to be the Aimpoint T1/H1 <broken link removed>

The LaRue is guaranteed to return to 0 after removal and reinstall and I have tested this so many times as I switch back and forth between the SPARC and a Nikon M223

I put an eotech xps2 on mine and love it! Bottom of the outer ring is 200yds.

On my 522 is a Vortex SPARC that I am very happy with.
