Opinions on Mossberg 4x4 rifles?

What Mossberg makes rifles?? i know they are good for shotguns but up at Cabelas i found a used 4x4 rifle and it felt great. I was looking at picking one up but it seems most places don't carry them around here. Are they that bad? Was going to take a shot at hunting, just elk and deer for now and thought it might be a good rifle for a beginner.
Any of you own one?
Whats your opinion of it?
Would you buy another?

I'd do a web search, Marlin, Howa and Savage make excelent rifles, for not much money.

These are made by Howa and are simply great and very reasonably priced. They will stand up for a life time if you treat them nicely. Mossberg has always been on the downside. Dramatic improvements in Savage in the last several years.
