Open shooting areas around Hillsboro

My coworker/long time family friend and I were wanting to go shooting on Tuesday but were not sure what areas would be open or available this time of year around or west of Hillsboro. If anyone could point me in the right direction i would be very grateful. My friend usually goes up to browns camp during the summer but he's never been during the winter. I'm not asking for any special shooting areas or anything of the sort. Just a recommendation on wheres legal this time of the year.
