Anybody that does not understand why they were called "The Greatest Generation" are simply ignorant, either by nature, or more likely, Progressive Communist Educators.

It wasnt the generation of the 40's that did that, it was the voting generation of the 60' that did that.
That is when the country began to capsize.

Here we go. Another one that believe we should have supported Henry Ford and Thomas Edison and their agreements with the Nazis. There's a good chance that Neville Chamberlin is your hero as well. Do you also think that all Americans deserved to be governed by Obama? How about 9-11? Bet you're in the crowd that says we deserved that.

And let me guess, you also believe that anyone who serves in the military is a mercenary or an idiot. Do you also believe that the human race doesn't deserve to exist? You sound like one of those that simply can't acknowledge the good in people.

Gi bill is not socialism. GI bill is compensation for service to your country. VA loans are not socialism either. They are loans that are to be paid back.

Socialism is a centrally planned economy by a Federal beaurocracy. Socialism is when income inequality is pronounced and wealth is redistributed to lower classes via confiscatory taxes and fees. Basically what we have now.

Administration of a government chiefly through bureaus or departments staffed with nonelected officials. FDA, IRS, NSA, DOL, etc. Ad Nauseum.

After WWI, our Government said to the Veterans of the War to End all WARS, "give us some time, to get it back together, and we will give you the Bonus you rightfully deserve"

And yet, the Greatest Generation, when called to service, SERVED.

If we could rewind back to 1940, when the Nazis were running over Europe like a freight train and we had our current Administration with Obama at the helm, where would the country be today?

I knew Several Other Rosie the Riveters, besides my Adopted Grandmother. They All Had ONE thing in common, they would Not take the shatTalk of 2506 & their ilk.

my Adopted GrandMother did Not Have to Adopt me, she Knew I needed A Grandmother in my life... My Maternal & Paternal were dead, I never met them.

But Grandma Viola had the hutzpah, to Stand up to Two Secret Service men, who did My Security Clearance BackGround Check. She Spoke LOUDLY, in her soft Voice, of how Patriotic I was, I only share that as "her Story" of her GrandSon.
